The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) of 1991 prohibits unsolicited faxes as well as other unwanted forms of advertisement including robocalls and text messages. If you do not have a relationship with the party sending you unsolicited faxes, you never gave the party your fax number, and you are not being given the opportunity to opt out of receiving these faxes, you may be able obtain damages for violations of the TCPA.
